Join local garlic growers Dennis and Cindy Donahue at the Aurora Inn Loft for a fun and informative Garlic Ornament-making workshop. All supplies will be provided, and you'll leave with a beautiful natural treasure to adorn your own home or give as a gift. This little bundle may be used after the holiday to add tasty, health-giving flavor to your favorite culinary creations. During this hands-on activity, you'll learn about the history and benefits of garlic. Nutrient dense and revered for its medicinal properties for thousands of years, garlic can combat colds and reduce blood pressure. Since 2007, Dennis and his family have used organic growing practices to produce some of the tastiest heirloom garlic around, taking advantage of the rich Honeoye soil of the Finger Lakes. This workshop is free to Inns of Aurora guests and $10 plus tax to the public. Additional supplies to make multiple ornaments may be purchased at $7.50 each and pre-made ornaments will be available for $10.
